This post is the third part of an introductory series to our latest additions to the Blank team. Its purpose is to provide our community with a better scope of what’s going on behind the scenes.

Today, we are introducing our new front-end developer, Olga Yegorova. She’s been working as a front-end developer for more than five years and has a broad range of experience from participating in many different projects and industries.

We are happy to have her on board and are excited to see all the wonderful ideas she will implement in our product, the Blank wallet chrome extension. If you are curious as well, keep on reading.

What’s your job position?

I’m a front-end developer, and I work on our chrome extension.

How long have you been working as a front-end developer?

I’ve been working in this area for five and a half years.
I started my career with simple markup HTML / CSS coding and have now progressed into many different languages and frameworks, like JavaScript, Typescript, Angular, and React. I’ve also worked as a full-stack developer, implementing full-stack solutions for web applications.

What projects have you worked on before? (crypto/non-crypto)

I’ve worked with start-ups, corporations, and a big outsourcing company. Being employed for these companies has provided me a lot of knowledge and experience since I’ve worked with many different projects and teams.

With that being said, I’m eager to work with Blank since I’ll get the chance to focus deeply on one single product and seeing it through instead of constantly jumping between different projects.

When did you first get involved in crypto?

I’ve known about crypto for a very long time, but Blank is the first project I’m getting involved in within the crypto industry. I’m excited to try out all the different technologies & dApps to get more engaged in the space.

What do you like the most about crypto?

There are a lot of investment opportunities. Of course, with significant returns comes higher risk. However, I still see a lot of potential in this space, both in the monetary sense but also when it comes to learning about the technology and how it can change the world, bringing more financial freedom, privacy, and security to the common person.

What made you interested in Blank?

Blank provides me with an excellent opportunity to become a better front-end developer. At Blank, we are leveraging modern frameworks like; React, Context, and Typescript. The team is also very knowledgeable and professional.
I also see this as an excellent opportunity to learn more about the whole crypto industry. It’s an industry with a lot of growth and demand. Working here will deepen my knowledge about this exciting new realm of finance.

Why do you think privacy matters on blockchains?

Having a public and transparent blockchain is great, but it’s also essential to have financial privacy. If you want to make a monetary transaction, you should be able to do so privately, without disclosing your whole portfolio to the world. I also believe privacy brings us peace of mind.

Do you have any predictions on where crypto will be 5 years from now?

I think that the blockchain market will keep growing, and crypto will become a bigger asset class, of its own. I also enjoy seeing how more people are beginning to use crypto. With this in mind, I think we could see a future where crypto could replace fiat currencies completely and redefine what we consider “money” to be. This will, of course, take some time, so it’s worth paying attention to the development of the blockchain industry.

Any parting thoughts?

I just love the working environment and overall atmosphere at Blank. All of the developers are extremely friendly and are always happy to help when needed. You can also tell they are passionate and believe in the potential of the project. 😁

About Blank Wallet

Blank is the most private, non-custodial Ethereum browser extension wallet.

Blank allows the user to easily interact with privacy smart contracts on Ethereum to hide the amounts and the origins of cryptocurrency held, in a decentralized, non-custodial, and frictionless manner.

Blank solves the problem of privacy in crypto transactions. Each time you want to make a withdrawal, Blank will create a new wallet address for you with the amount of crypto that you requested. This address originates from the smart contract where everyone’s funds are pooled. All of this is achieved using cryptographic proofs to ensure that the user cannot be linked with the original depositing address.

With crypto transactions increasing, on-chain transaction privacy is being highly discussed to keep you safe from exposing yourself. Blank has developed a system that adds the ultimate protective layer to your crypto transactions while facilitating every function that other wallets offer.

Anyone can easily install Blank and start reaping the privacy benefits in no time at all. Besides the smart contract functionality, Blank wallet offers a higher level of privacy due to Tor integration. Upcoming functionality includes DeFi web3 integrations as well as support for Metamask Snaps Plugins to allow for seamless connectivity and usage.
